This piece is written as my response to the word “screen “, as suggested by the daily word #introtopoetry
Instead I contest each day,
I am no mystical mortal figure,
Am not even some simplistic actor.
At this stage of life,
With a struggle
Wholey within the totality of reality.
I am not,
Not of the silver screen.
I am neither a bit part or stellar player.
On this, the wrong side of the screen
We deliver lines and stories
Out of which the secrets of life are retold.
And our screens are our faces
Through which we speak,
And our touch records for an instance
The true stories of life,
The touchscreen is our place for discussion.
