How Final

How final,

That we follow the instructions,

the dragging of a wooden stake, in stages, through life,

Up our own hill.

Are still being

Cruel to the blind who cannot speak.

Who dare not.

We remain,

The villagers who weep for our flags and sandals

We are arks of the carnal.

We are unforgiving in our caves.
